What Are We to do With Our Feelings?

I gave a seminar some time ago on coaching and communication skills when the subject of emotional expression as a professional came up. This group of women who work with parents of children with special needs, are often touched emotionally by their client’s stories. They questioned the appropriateness of expressing their feelings in the work setting. Are Speakers Serving Their Audience?

I’m contemplating offering a teleclass for speakers to help them to shift from charismatic to more catalytic. That is, using some facilitation skills to engage the audience with the speaker and with each other. Do you think there might be an interest in this among the speaker community? I’ve got some basic info on an introductory class here.
